The event was an outstanding success with over 300 cadets attending from Marianas High School, Tinian High School, Saipan Southern High School, Kagman High School. Rota High School did not attend because of transportation issues.
The event started off with special guest speakers who were Lt. Gov. Eloy Inos U.S. Congressman Gregorio Kilili Camacho Sablan, Commissioner of Education Rita Sablan and Director of Army Instructor LTC Robert Gay who all gave inspirational speech to the crowded ball room.
After the speeches, the cadets ate a first-class, 5-star meal from the Saipan World Resort. Then there was entertainment by cadets and students from Kagman High School, groups from Rock A Beat Kings, 256 boys, ETC, Sole’ dees and the Refaluwasch Cultural Dance Group. They gave an outstanding performance. A slide show of all schools from the past years events that they were involved in such as community service and service learning.
The event had over 100 door prizes and there were nine raffle prizes worth $3,000 with a grand prize a 42’ flat screen TV with DVD player that was won by C/CPL Foster, Anthony from Kagman High School.
The ball was topped off with open floor dancing for all of the cadets for their entertainment with music provided by the 256 Boys keyboard and singers from Kagman High School: Emerick Kaipat, Jonathan Sabulao and Ian Iriarte.
