Program host Rose T. Ada-Hocog said Guerrero will talk about his battle with cancer, how he spent his time at the hospital, and how he used his extraordinary health problem to help improve the lives of others.
Guerrero was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor at the age 12 and spent one and a half years at a hospital in Hawaii.
CNMI Congressman Gregorio Kilili Camacho Sablan honored Guerrero in the U.S. Congress by including in a commemorative record the teenager’s unselfish contributions to the people of the CNMI during a session of the U.S. House of Representatives last year.
Show editor/producer Edwin Sta. Theresa said “In the Spotlight” will be replayed on Channel 7 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. every Friday and Saturday for the whole month.
Sta. Theresa said they are looking forward to producing more episodes that involve the community.
“This is your show and we want your voice to be heard so we urge you to send us your suggestions on what issues you would like us to tackle next,” he added.
The show’s pilot episode was aired in December and was titled “Decades of Memories — a Christmas Special.”
