The coin bears the image of Martin Van Buren, the 8th president of the United States, 1837-1841.
The back side bears the inscription, “U.S. Senator, Governor of New York, Minister to England, Secretary of State, Vice President, Revolutionized the Banking Business, The Red Fox in Politics,” and “King Martin the First, The Little Magician.”
“I just want to know the value of the coin. I want to know if it has a value,” Rabauliman said.
He is asking for the assistance of a coin collector.
He said the coin was found last week by his sister Carmen F. Rabauliman in their yard at the old Isley Field in Koblerville.
In the past, he said he also found a chalice, an arrow and a spear and other artifacts dating back from the Spanish era.
