Philippine consulate to use new mobile ePassport equipment on Tinian

The activity will be held at the Tinian Dynasty Hotel & Casino on Feb. 19 and 20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., he said.

Macaraig, who will head the consular team, will be accompanied by Violaflor Enerlan-Ancheta and Antonio David.

“This will be the first mobile services using ePassport technology,” he said.

He said tests on the ePassport equipment have been successful on Saipan.

The consulate can now  bring  state-of-the-art ePassport technology to Filipinos on Tinian, he added.

Passport requirements remain the same, but a photograph is no longer required, the consul general said.

Macaraig said in order to facilitate the process and allow the consulate general to serve more Filipinos, applicants for passports are requested to download the application form from the Consulate website, fill it out and fax it to the Consulate to 234-1849, e-mail [email protected] or mail it to P.O. Box 500731 Saipan, MP 96950.

Macaraig said the mobile consular services for Filipinos on Rota will also be undertaken by the consulate very soon.
