Woman arrested for damaging boyfriend’s car

Jesmey Nakayama admitted she wanted to hit her boyfriend, Kchek Punusek, with an 18-inch long 2×4 lumber, and that she shattered the rear window of the victim’s car, according to Detective Peter Aldan.

Nakayama is being held on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, and criminal mischief.

Judge Kenneth L. Govendo imposed a $6,000 bail on Nakayama.

She was scheduled to appear in Superior Court for her bail hearing yesterday afternoon.

Prior to the incident, Aldan said Punusek arrived at the residence of Nakayama in Upper Miha to check on his girlfriend and to sleep.

An argument ensued between the two about Nakayama’s former boyfriend, and the defendant asked the victim to leave, police said.

The victim was about to leave in his car, when he told the defendant that he did not want to talk to her anymore, police said.

Nakayama got angry and scratched the victim’s left arm and shoulder, police said.

Nakayama then grabbed a piece of lumber and threw it at the victim but it hit the car, police said.

Nakayama picked the piece of lumber and threw it at the car’s rear window, shattering it, police said.

The victim got out of his car and called for police assistance.
