CPA is co-hosting with the Federal Aviation Administration the 2011 Pacific Aviation Directors Workshop on April 5-7 in the Hibiscus Hall of Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan.
Based on the draft agenda of the workshop, the theme is “Aviation Safety in the Pacific through Cooperation and Partnership.”
Wendi L. Prater, CPA contract administrator and this year’s workshop committee’s chairwoman, told Variety that the agenda has yet to be confirmed by the FAA.
Deleon Guerrero is scheduled to talk about the $70 million ARFF training center on April 6.
In his talk before the members of the Saipan Chamber of Commerce on March 2, Deleon Guerrero touted the facility’s training services and how it will allow Asian airports to send their personnel to train “in the state-of-the-art facility.”
Asked how much is CPA spending for the workshop, Prater said, “We are still working on the estimates seeing we originally reserved 70 participants but not over 90.”
To date, CPA said there are 89 participants to the workshop of whom 15 are FAA officials and personnel.
