After his change of plea hearing, Brobesong was placed on two years probation.
He has admitted the charge of assault and battery.
As moved by the Attorney General’s Office, the remaining charge of disturbing the peace was dismissed by the court.
Govendo directed Brobesong to complete 30 hours of community work service.
Brobesong will stay away from Feric Aguon, 20, the victim, for the entirety of his probation period.
The court required the defendant to pay a $500 fine, a $25 assessment fee, and a probation fee to be determined by the Adult Probation Office.
During his probation period, Brobesong will not possess or consume alcoholic beverages or controlled substances; not to enter an establishment whose primary purpose is the sale or consumption of alcohol; will not reside in any residence where alcohol or controlled substances are present; and must refrain from associating with persons who are consuming alcohol or controlled substances, or those who are under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances.
On Feb. 4, 2011, between 1 and 2 p.m., Brobesong punched Aguon two times, the prosecution said.
