“We’re especially proud that 94 percent of all First Hawaiian Bank employees participated in Kokua Mai. And, because the bank covers 100 percent of the program’s administration costs, 100 percent of the employees’ donation goes to their charity of choice,” said Dacanay. “Throughout the year, our employees also donate their time and talents to various non-profits in the region.”
“We sincerely appreciate First Hawaiian’s generous giving spirit. Their employees truly care about Guam and show us this daily in their actions and support of the community. Kokua Mai and their financial support of our agency will help to grant wishes of children from Guam and CNMI with life threatening illnesses and for this we are very grateful,” said Victor Camacho, executive director of Make-A-Wish Foundation of Guam.
First Hawaiian Bank administers the employee campaign with 100 percent of the donation going directly to local charities. The annual community giving program is completely run by employees.
