Carey’s team tops Tagaman relay

Chentsova took on the swim leg of the race, completing her course in 31 minutes and 35 seconds. Carey finished the bike leg in one hour, 50 minutes, and 15 seconds, with Berger reaching the finish line in 1:02:57.

The dominant team bagged a combined total of 3:26:12 to beat second-ranked Grace Kimball, Kieran Daly, and Jeff Race.

Race sprinted alongside Swiss pro triathlete Renata Bucher to reach the finish line, handing his team a total time of 3:30:13.

Kiyoko Takahashi, and Katsuo Kawamura of Japan pushed for third place at 3:38:47, with the former taking on two legs of the race.

Local swimmer Kensuke Kimura earned the fastest time in the swim leg with 28 minutes and 15 seconds. Pacific Islands Club’s general manager Kieran Daly scored the fastest bike leg time at 1:47:49. Kawamura topped Berger’s record in the run leg in one hour, two minutes, and two seconds.

Reaching the top five were Pablo Antonio, Renato Calage, and Jack Kabiriel (3:40:54), followed by Daniel Villegas, Cesar Fortaleza, and Marianas High School teacher Chang Jang (3:57:54).
