Veteran bowler Robert Talavera topped last month’s Budweiser King and Queen of the Lanes Tournament at the Saipan Bowling Center. Talavera garnered a 837 last month, nailing 179 pinfalls in game one.
Talavera then stepped it up a notch during games three and four, where he finished off with 237 and 246 pinfalls for an average of 209.25 overall. Talavera also bagged the coveted Saipan Bowling Association’s King of the Lanes Award for 2010.
Marchitti earned NMASA’s nod after attending last year’s Hell of the Marianas and nailing the coveted first place award in her respective age bracket (46-55 years old) clocking in after 6:22:32 to complete the 100 kilometer grueling race.
Marchitti then entered the Tour De Guahan race in Guam to finish and grab first place in the 40-44 years old age bracket after zooming past the finish line at 5:31:40.
