Tinian Health Center ‘going backward’

He told Variety that the work of the nurses has been affected after two employees left the center.

A few months ago, one staff member resigned. The other one retired from government service.

The nurses at the center, the resident said, sometimes have to leave their work to assist the doctor at the dental clinic.

“Instead of improving the service they are going backward,” the resident said, referring to the health center.

Asked for comment, Tinian Health Center resident director’s special adviser Freddy Hofschneider said he had yet to discuss it with the resident director, Ramon Dela Cruz Jr.

The Tinian resident said the central government should also designate  the staff at the center as essential employees so the operations at the facility will not be affected.

He said the municipality, moreover, should consider privatizing  the Tinian Health Center.

“We need better quality and better services from doctors,” the resident said, adding that THC usually only gets the services of a doctor to deliver babies on Tinian.
