Saipan Rotary Club to check on sale of Christmas CDs

Rotary Club president Glen Perez on Tuesday said they distributed 1,765 CDs to different outlets on island.

“We are very close to our 2,000 mark, and we are glad of how the community welcomed our CDs,” Perez said.

He added, “We will return all proceeds from our CDs back to the community in the form of scholarships, community and other club projects.”

Perez said unsold copies can be sold later this year, during the holidays.

The Rotary Club owns the copyright to the CDs so it can reproduce more copies in the future if needed.

“Christmas in the Marianas” CDs cost $15 each and are available at the Joeten stores in Garapan and Susupe, the Triple “J” Super Fresh Market in Chalan Kanoa, Surf Turf, I Love Saipan, Sketchers and the Kagman Mobil station.

Off-island customers can send a money order payable to the Rotary Club of Saipan and mail it to P.O. Box 500434, Saipan, MP 96950.

Launched last month, “Christmas in the Marianas” is a collection of traditional Christmas music interpreted by 15 local artists from Guam, Saipan, Tinian and Rota.
