Lifoifoi’s term expires today. If his nomination is confirmed by the Senate, he will continue to serve on the CPA board until Jan. 17, 2015.
Inos told Senate President Paul A. Manglona, Ind.-Rota, that he and Gov. Benigno R. Fitial are confident Lifoifoi is qualified and will continue to be an asset on the “important board.”
Lifoifoi, a former speaker, is chairman of the United Micronesia Development Association Inc.
Like Fitial, he served on the board of directors of the Bank of Saipan. He is a former chairman of the CPA board.
Its other members are Thomas P. Villagomez, Benjamin Sablan, Margaret Prater and Fermin Sakisat.
