She said the school has been holding small and fun events this whole week to promote the anti-bullying cause.
On Monday, which was the kick-off day, the school held a flag ceremony marking the start of Anti-Bullying Week.
Each class was encouraged to create an anti-bullying banner which was later posted on the walls of the school for all to see.
On Tuesday, the 7th and 8th grade classes performed dance numbers during their lunch hour in honor of the event.
On Wednesday, which was dubbed “Treasure of Friendship Day,” the students were encouraged to go on a treasure hunt. Items were hidden throughout the campus and students were given a prize every time they discovered a “treasure.”
Thursday was “Friendship Quilt Day.” Every class made a quilt depicting the importance of friendship and the prevention of bullying.
Today, Friday, the school will hold a march and roadside waving to promote the anti-bullying cause starting at 8 a.m.
