McDonald’s donates $2,000 to Eucon

“McDonald’s is  a very active partner in education,” Ayuyu told Variety in an interview. “Although we have limited resources, we love to spread them around. So we move from school to school. This is our first time donating to Eucon,” he added.

Eucon’s Pastor Pete Miral and accountant Grace Borbon were present to receive the check from Ayuyu.

“On behalf of Eucon International, we would like to thank the management of McDonald’s for their support. We would also like to thank the community as well,” said Miral.

“The donation will be go to our scholarship fund for school year 2010-2011,” Miral told Variety.

Miral said there are different types of scholarships offered to deserving students.

Miral said their non-income based scholarship program is open to all students from first to 12th grades who meet the minimum grade requirements.

Students who have an average  grade of “A+” can avail of the 50 percent scholarship, “A” average students can apply for  40 percent scholarship, while “B” average students can avail of the 30 percent scholarship option.

Eucon International School has 10 students in its scholarship program.
