GOVERNOR David M. Apatang on Monday renominated Thomas Kiyu P. Villagomez to the Commonwealth Ports Authority Board of Directors.
The governor also nominated former Northern Marianas College Board of Regents Chairman Charles V. Cepeda to fill one of three CPA board seats vacated by Ramon A. Tebuteb and Joseph Diaz, whose four-year terms have expired.
In his appointment letter to Villagomez, the governor said he and Lt. Gov. Dennis James Mendiola have complete confidence in the nominee’s unwavering commitment to serving the best interests of the CNMI people. “We greatly appreciate your willingness to continue serving on this critical board and are confident that your time and efforts will be invaluable to the community,” the letter read.
In his appointment letter to Cepeda, the governor said he and the lieutenant governor are confident that Cepeda is qualified and will be an asset to the important seven-member board.
The governor has also recently nominated Office of the Governor program manager Eusebio M. Manglona to represent Rota on the board.
Currently, the board’s members are Antonio B. Cabrera, who will serve as acting chairman, Dolores Kiyoshi of Tinian, and Bart Jackson of Saipan.
