BOMBA successfully defended their men’s division title at the 4 Starz Marianas Club’s 2nd Annual Fall Fest Volleyball Tournament 2025 after rallying past Hammahz in a best-of-five championship match held Saturday night at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium.
Bomba entered the opening set as the aggressor. John Justo orchestrated the offense as the primary setter, constantly feeding teammates KC Nuyles, Seth Hong, and Josh Binghit for powerful spikes that established control of the lead.
Hammahz responded with setter DJ Joab, who set up Mokyang Kim, Rondelle Apostol, and Shad Coleman for devastating spikes. The teams traded leads throughout the intense opening set, but Bomba capitalized on the final rallies to win 25–22.
Hammahz returned in the second set with renewed aggression, using well-timed blocks and precise attacks to maintain control. Although Bomba worked to close the gap, Hammahz prevailed 28–26. Riding that momentum, Hammahz dominated the third set, 25–20, putting them one win away from the title.
In the fourth set, Bomba mounted a determined rally. Aggressive net play and strategic spikes broke down Hammahz’s morale, allowing Bomba to win 25–21 and force a decisive fifth set to 15 points.
Bomba’s persistence paid off in the final set. They controlled most of the rallies, keeping Hammahz on the defensive. Despite Hammahz’s attempts to close the gap, Bomba’s consistent pressure and timely spikes secured the victory, 15–11, clinching the men’s division championship for the second year in a row.
Bomba’s roster included John Justo, Jermaine Salas, Bernard Villagomez, KC Nuyles, Seth Hong, Noah Lee, Erlwin Aguirre, Josh Binghit, and Mark Saipo.
