SAN Vicente Elementary School 1, Saipan International School 1, and William S. Reyes Elementary School 1 are the top three of Group A in the elementary coed division of the PSS-NMIFA Interscholastic Soccer League SY25-26 after securing victories in Friday’s matches at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.
SVES 1 holds the No. 1 spot with two wins following their 3-0 triumph over Koblerville Elementary School 2.
SVES 1 struck quickly, taking possession right from kickoff and breaking through an unprepared KOB 2 defense. Keoki Rios found the back of the net just two minutes into the match.
KOB 2 adjusted and held firm for most of the first half, but in the 10th minute, SVES 1 doubled their lead when Kiean Tomokane scored his first goal of the season.
In the second half, KOB 2 improved with better ball movement and shot opportunities, along with tighter defensive coverage. However, they failed to capitalize, while Rios struck again in the 25th minute to seal a 3-0 victory for SVES 1.
Joining the winners’ circle were SIS 1 and WSR 1, who both bagged their first wins of the season.
SIS 1 put on a clinic against Brilliant Star School 2, cruising to a 6-0 victory. Olivia Walsh and Allen Tang led the charge with two goals each, while Miriam Flores and Eleanor Anderson added one apiece.
WSR 1 prevailed over Oleai Elementary School 1, 2-0. Raynold Saka broke the deadlock in the 13th minute, and Cayden Castro extended the lead with a goal in the 26th.
Two other schools also added wins to their records. Kagman Elementary School defeated SVES 2, 3-1, while Garapan Elementary School 2 blanked Saipan Community School, 3-0.
