(DOF) — The Department of Finance wishes to inform the public and the business community that there are currently delays in the processing and issuance of business licenses due to internal staffing challenges that affected processing times.
“We recognize that these delays have caused inconveniences to the business community, and corrective measures have already been put in place,” said Daniel Alvarez, director of Revenue and Taxation. A team has now been assigned to address the backlog, and all pending applications are expected to be issued by Friday, Oct. 3, 2025.
DRT is also reviewing internal procedures to prevent similar issues in the future.
“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. Updates will be provided through official channels as they become available.”
