THE Rotaract Club of Saipan, together with the Interact Clubs across Saipan, gathered at Saipan Southern High School’s cafeteria for the 2nd Annual New Generations Leadership Seminar. The event focused on strengthening leadership skills, fostering collaboration, building fellowship, and inspiring the next generation of service-driven leaders.

The seminar brought together young leaders from the Interact Clubs as well as Rotaract members who facilitated the training sessions. Through workshops, discussions, and fellowship activities, participants not only gained practical leadership skills and teamwork strategies but also deepened connections with one another carrying forward the Rotary spirit of “Service Above Self.”

A special highlight of the seminar was a presentation by Rotarian Donna S. Krum, who spoke on the importance of professional and personal development. She encouraged students to embrace life-long learning by reading books, listening to thought leaders, and by seeking mentorship. She also emphasized the importance of attending training, taking notes, and keeping a personal development journal. Krum reminded students that growth begins within, saying, “To have more, you must become more!” She closed by inspiring the youth to use their voices in civic life, encouraging them to register to vote and make a difference.

Rotary Club of Saipan President Greg Borja shared his thoughts on the event: “It is wonderful to see our past leaders from the Interact giving back to the next generation of club leaders. Through their efforts in organizing the leadership seminar, they have brought together Rotarians who shared their knowledge and experience. They truly live up to the Rotary message of Uniting for Good.”

“It is inspiring to see Interactors take part in this seminar, especially coming from a former Interactor myself. I hope they can extract valuable lessons from today’s seminar to help them in running their clubs and aid them in their personal development,” said Richard Baleares, president of Rotaract Club of Saipan. “The seminar turnout is amazing. From that alone, I can already see that there will be many great future leaders for Interact, and one day, for Rotaract as well,” said Angel Soguilon, director of professional development, Rotaract Club of Saipan.

The New Generations Leadership Seminar serves as a platform for Interact and Rotaract members to grow as leaders and role models in their schools, communities, and beyond. The event also strengthens the connection between Interact, Rotaract, and Rotary, ensuring that leadership, fellowship, and service continue to thrive across generations.
