Korean artist to headline Saipan cultural showcase

THE Saipan Korean Culture and Arts Education Committee will host the sixth installment of its Gifted Exchange Student Series with a special dance performance by acclaimed Korean artist Hwang Hee-sang.

The event will take place at 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3, 2025, at the multi-purpose center. It is organized by the committee with sponsorship from Stayhill Resort.

Hwang’s performance is expected to highlight the vibrancy and depth of Korean traditional and contemporary dance, offering local audiences a rare opportunity to experience Korea’s rich artistic heritage.

Bryan Manabat was a liberal arts student of Northern Marianas College where he also studied criminal justice. He is the recipient of the NMI Humanities Award as an Outstanding Teacher (Non-Classroom) in 2013, and has worked for the CNMI Motheread/Fatheread Literacy Program as lead facilitator.
