MPU routs Men’s Development Team 1, 7-2

MP United Football Club delivered an overwhelming offensive performance on Sunday night, routing the Men’s Developmental Team 1 with a commanding 7-2 win and acquiring their fifth win in the Marianas Soccer League 1 Fall 2025 held at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.

Despite the results, the Men’s Development Team 1 proved to be a threat as they went toe-to-toe with MPU throughout the first 20 minutes of the opening half – even breaking the silence with the first goal scored in the 24th minute by Theo Joab.

Unfortunately, MDT 1’s reign was short-lived as MPU quickly retaliated with a barrage of goals. Tanapon Unsa acted as the sparkplug, scoring the team’s first goal in the 28th mark while Sunjoon Tenorio, Isiah Hossain, and Takeru Jim followed with a goal each to further solidify control of the lead going into the halftime break, 4-0.

MPU maintained control as they carried the momentum over to the second half with the rest of the team getting a taste of the action. Tenorio picked up where he left off with his second goal scored in the 62nd minute while Joe Miller and Wataru Kadokura joined the highlight reel, each adding a goal in the 76th and 82nd marks for the icing on the victory cake.

Although defeat was inevitable, MDT 1 continued to fight until the very end and were rewarded for their efforts with Yutaka Kadokura connecting a late-game goal within the extra two minutes of play before bowing down to MPU, 7-2.

Last Wednesday, MPU collected their fourth win as they silenced the Men’s Development Team 2, 5-0.
