BRAVO Dart Killahs and True North Langilang have advanced to the semifinals in the Thursday Flame Tree division of the 2025 SBA Budweiser Open 8-Ball League Bud Light Cup after defeating their respective adversaries during the quarterfinal matches held in separate locations.
Bravo Dart Killahs secured their seat in the semifinals with an 8-4 win against Jonny’s Boozeye.
Dart Killahs established control of the tempo right from the start in pairs as Henry “Savage” Sablan and Jesse “J Boy” Taitano, along with Aaron Arriola and Jemma “BadShot” Manibo, swept the opening Partners 501 set clean for a 2-0 lead.
Even in the one-on-one scene, Dart Killahs seemed unmatched as they pulled another 4-win sweep to further stretch the deficit, 6-0.
Boozeye started off late but got things going in the Partners 701 set, with Darwin Sablan and Zack Cruz, along with Jose “Bozu” Villagomez and Nokki Torres, equalizing with a 2-win sweep. Sablan and Villagomez kept the momentum flowing by claiming the first two games of the following Singles Half-It set.
However, all hope was lost when Dart Killahs’ Manibo and Taitano snagged the remaining two games – all they needed to secure the match in a race to nine points, as Boozeyes fell short with only three games left to play and accepted elimination at the hands of the former, 8-4.
True North Langilang shared a similar victory over Marvz Bombers, 8-5.
Bombers were the first to draw blood with a clean 2-win sweep by Virolanson Secharmidal and Jude Sablan, along with Tyler Palacios and Jhemery Pascual, 2-0.
However, Langilang bounced back with a 3-1 run during the following Singles Crazy Cricket set, followed by a 2-win sweep in the Partners 701 set to steal the lead, 5-3.
Despite splitting the Singles Half-It set, 2-2, Langilang’s Steve “RoadKill” Santos and John Joseph Nekaifes worked together to claim the first game, which was all they needed to secure the win over Bombers, 8-5.
Dart Killahs will now face 6JMS No Fear, while Langilang will go head-to-head against Spicy Thai Take Flight this Thursday.
