DEAR Department of Public Works Secretary Ray Yumul:
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to respectfully request the Department of Public Works’ assistance in repainting the roadway markings along the stretch of the road from the San Vicente Post Office to Facey Farms. These roadway markings have significantly faded overtime, and I am increasingly concerned about the safety of our motorists and pedestrians who travel this route daily.
In fact, several concerned citizens have reached out to my office after seeing the Saipan Mayor’s Office signage encouraging the public to “See Something, Say Something.” We appreciate the community’s attentiveness and advocacy for public safety, and we are committed to responding to these valid concerns. Clear and visible road markings are critical to guiding traffic, preventing accidents, and ensuring the overall safety of the public. Given the residential and agricultural nature of this area, along with consistent traffic flow, immediate attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated.
The Mayor’s Office of Saipan is committed to supporting this initiative and is open to assisting your department in any way possible to ensure this project is carried out efficiently and effectively.
Thank you for your continued partnership in keeping our roads safe and well-maintained. I look forward to your favorable response.
RAMON B. CAMACHO
Mayor of Saipan
