LATTE Football Club continues its ascension in the A Division leaderboard of the Dove Women’s League Spring 2025, defeating Shirley’s Football Club 4-1 to notch its second win of the season at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville on Sunday.

Initially, it was a fairly even battle as both teams filled most of the opening half with back-and-forth action and nail-biting moments.

After 20 minutes of trial and error, Latte eventually found its footing and synced as a unit, slithering through the cracks of Shirley’s defensive wall to set up Allyssya Angeles for the finish. She found the back of the net in the 22nd minute to give Latte a 1-0 lead.

Unfazed, Shirley’s quickly sought redemption. Within the next 10 minutes, they capitalized on a transition play, swiftly turning defense into offense as Jeraldine Castillo netted her team’s first goal in the 31st minute to even the score at 1-1.

Shirley’s then fell silent as Latte took control of the tempo, applying constant forward pressure to overwhelm their opponent and score two consecutive goals, thanks to Xyriel Pascual and Angeles.

With momentum on their side, Latte’s Angel Calayag delivered a fourth goal in the 68th minute to seal the deal, 4-1.
