AFTER a week of games in the PSS-NMIVA Interscholastic Volleyball League SY 2025–26, at the Marianas High School gym, Chacha Ocean View Middle School, Agape Christian School, and Hopwood Middle School share the top spot in the boys middle school division standings, each with two wins and undefeated records.

Tuesday’s opening slate showcased hard-fought battles and clinical sweeps.

Agape turned in a dominant performance, sweeping Francisco M. Sablan Middle School in straight sets. Andy Chen, Benjamin Cai, and Jireh Fu led the way, blending seamlessly with the rest of the squad as they bumped, set, and spiked their way to a 21-10, 21-13 victory.

Hopwood posted similar results in its debut, besting Saipan Community School, 21-12, 21-13.

Chacha, meanwhile, went the distance in a three-set battle before edging Dandan Middle School, 21-18, 16-21, 15-10.

Also joining the opening-day winners’ circle were HOP II over Tanapag Middle School II, 21-17, 21-17; Dandan Middle School II over COVMS II, 16-21, 21-15, 15-6; and Saipan International School over Tanapag Middle School, 21-9, 21-6.

The intensity continued into Thursday’s matches as Hopwood showed its resilience by fending off a spirited Tanapag Middle School squad in a three-set grind, 21-19, 15-21, 15-9. Chacha found its rhythm against Mount Carmel School, sweeping both sets, 21-18, 21-13, while Agape collected its second win with a straight-sets victory over SIS, 21-12, 21-18.

FMS also earned its first win of the season, outlasting Saipan Community School in another three-set thriller, 8-21, 21-9, 15-7.
