(MVA) — It’s over 560 registrants and counting for the 18th Annual Skechers Saipan Marathon, set to take place on March 7, 2026, in the Marianas. Registration rates will increase after Feb. 25 for the annual signature event of the Marianas Visitors Authority, co-organized with Northern Marianas Athletics as a certified measured course by World Athletics in cooperation with the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races.
Runners are anticipated to gather on this small Pacific island representing countries and territories around the world, including China, Guam, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, the Marianas, New Caledonia, Serbia, Taiwan, Thailand, and the United Kingdom.

Business expo
The first-ever Saipan Marathon Business Expo will be held on March 6 for the public at Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., a partnership with the CNMI Department of Commerce featuring local businesses offering products, services, and experiences aligned with sports and health. With a new start and finish line at Paseo de Marianas in Garapan, this year’s marathon will return to its iconic Beach Road course, known for its gentle elevation changes and uninterrupted views of Saipan’s lagoon.
Additional sponsors are Platinum Sponsor Coca-Cola/Powerade and Gold Sponsors United Airlines, Enterprise Rent-a-car, and Gold’s Gym Saipan.
Registration deadline is on March 4.
Participants must be 18 or older for the full marathon and age 14 or older for the half marathon. Cash prizes will be awarded to top finishers and by age division.
Mandatory race packet pickup will be March 6 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan near the Atari Dinner Show pavilion. Valid photo ID required. Participants may send a representative to pick up their race packet only with a written authorization and a copy of the participant’s valid photo ID.
The awards ceremony for top finishers will be held on race day beginning at 8:30 a.m. at Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan. Age division winners may also claim their prizes at this time.

Saipan Marathon 2025 attracted over 600 registrants from 19 countries and territories. The event is sanctioned under NMA official rules and regulations.
