Ambrose Bennett
THE Truth is WE the People have been living under a “reign of terror” by the Political Terrorists in our Government led by our Republicans, just like WE see on the mainland with Trump. It is no secret and even common knowledge that “if you speak-out against our Republicans, who now control ALL the levers of Power except for the Saipan Mayor, they will make your name bad or cause you not to get a government job or your relative(s) to even lose their job.” We are even continuing to see one scheme/scam of subterfuge after another, as the Tinian Resort is the latest. I warned about China and ever since the pivot to China there is one thing after another tied directly to Chinese subterfuge & illegal efforts to sneak into Guam. I am not against Chinese tourists, but I am against trying to turn the CNMI into “China-East” for tourists, especially Garapan, that will surely discourage our need & desire for Japanese and other Tourists — a critical “social variable.” This is the TRUE reality in the CNMI and People KNOW the Republican vengeance is REAL and yet the Dems are not fighting nor coming up with any Economic Plans either. In fact, the Dems on the mainland are now at an all-time low of 27% approval rating because 10 Dem Senators didn’t FIGHT and “acted like bunny rabbits in a dog fight” to pass the Continuing Resolution. It is easy to see why Locals are literally FLEEING to the mainland to find a career and better life. I’m just so ecstatic that our youth & even retirees are being so successful and KUDOS to them for taking the initiative to seek a real chance at prosperity — keep growing and enjoying life in the REAL America, as the CNMI is continuing to fall short in too many categories!
But one would think that the Government Employees & Retirees would be leading the charge to get rid of these Republicans who have them so AFRAID to even speak their minds in public after constantly being mistreated with one austerity after another & never a raise that only the Governor’s advisor got, they KILLED the Retirement Fund ON PURPOSE and the 25% to Retirees that was literally STOLEN as retirees have yet to be repaid that money they lost. If you can’t see Republicans need to be taught a LESSON, you may need to check your pulse. Citizens on the mainland are protesting daily across the nation but yet it has become a common phenomenon to “DO NOTHING” to stop the tyranny & subterfuge in the CNMI, as it seems living under the Republican threat has even become BLISS for entirely too many voters! Heck, I even hear Ralph has the AUDACITY to be thinking about running again, which tells me the “voter gullibility factor” is entirely tooooo darn high. WE just saw what happened on the mainland were being gullible to Trumps Lies about Project 2025, is now proving to be TRUE-LIES. So, I’m wondering how many will be gullible enough to fall for Arnold’s 2026, plan this WE know is going to be a plan to “win by poli-tricks” with no merits of accomplishments under his administration. Mainland voters are surely going to make their Republicans PAY in the voting booth come 2026. But will the People of the CNMI be sick & tired enough to make our Republicans Pay for the mess of our economy with their subterfuge instead of “planning & working.”
I also find it extremely abusive & insulting that Locals can’t get the financial help they need & deserve from MPLT that was created to HELP LOCALS — duh! I know this is a RIGHTEOUS issue but, Ambrose is the only one who continues to yell & shout for “programs” at MPLT’s Republican Board that has NEVER even TRIED to do anything to provide aid to Locals since its conception in all the devastating disasters Locals have been forced to endure. Where is the “Voucher Program for power bills, Down payment Program for homestead homes, Medical Referral Aid for People on Food Stamps, grants for Local business development & growth, scholarships for highly specialized jobs and a host of other support programs. There is way over 100 million at MPLT and the only thing this Board is doing is “collecting & sitting on Locals’ money, going on vacation seminars to the states to learn TAYA and loaning millions to the Republican Governors. But if these millions in loans are not being paid off it is going to be a “repeat of the Retirement Fund that started with Government loans never to be repaid until MPLT is broke. I can’t wait to see the day Locals wake-up and start to protest about the “impotence to deliver any services FOR Locals with THEIR own money at MPLT after 3-decades or more, as this would never happen on the mainland where citizens ARE NOT afraid regardless of the party — for TRUE! Why create a Local Registry if it is not going to be put to good use, as it was just a Republican Poli-trick back then to get elected and now the actual fruits FOR the People still with MPLT. If citizens don’t DEMAND it, guess what, it ain’t going to happen — stop the fear start DEMANDING!
Hotels continue to suffer from the continued decline in our visitor arrivals that is surely looming with the threat of another closure right-around-the-corner if it doesn’t change and yet the Association seems AFRAID to let me help them and readers know why, as it’s not that I can’t help them but the “political FEAR” of saying Ambrose, the activist, is RIGHT! This old thing of trying to make a person’s name bad has been the political staple for getting rid of opposition but they couldn’t get rid of Ambrose, so they have created the atmosphere of fear & not to even listen, which is that pathetic political-bigotry I’ve mentioned in several Op eds! I’ve seen the CNMI going backwards, and I’m sure so have the overwhelming majority of voters who must know by now it’s time to “change-Ur-Rooster(s).” However, I’m just glad the bigotry of some leaders does not exist among the everyday & average citizen who tell me on a daily basis “thanks Mr. Bennett & keep-it-up”!
