NICK “Kapira” Reyes won the Amigos Golf Club’s March Ace of the Month title with finesse as he led by over 10 strokes with a net score of 129 at Laolao Bay Golf & Resort on Sunday.
Consistency was the highlight of Reyes’ overall performance.
In the qualifying round on March 9, Reyes, who has a 16 handicap, finished ahead of the competition with a gross total of 81 and a net score of 65.
In the ace round on March 16, Reyes saw a slight improvement in his swing and placement, finishing all 18 holes with a gross total of 80. Thanks to his handicap, he once again secured the top spot with a net score of 64 and an overall net score of 129.
In the optional play, the Par 3 winners were Domingo Atalig for hole #3, Fred Salavaria for hole #7, Nick Leon Guerrero for hole #13, and Sixtus Aquino for hole #17. A cash prize of $125 was awarded per hole.
The April Ace of the Month Tournament will begin with a qualifier round on Sunday, April 6, 9 a.m. at the east course of the LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort followed by the ace round on Sunday, April 27 on the west course at 9 a.m.
