Campeones beat KMA, bag 4th win in Rocball

THE regular season for the 43rd annual MHS Rocball games ended Tuesday with team Campeones picking up their fourth win of the season by defeating KMA in two sets 51 to 10.

Team Capeones dominated that game in Rocball’s unique multiple scoring system with 10 two-point aces, 2 two-point xunk serves, 1 two-point backcourt kee scoring by the team’s goalie, and 2 three-point goals.

In other 5th round action, the Local Locos defeated CGU 52 to 24 and team Divas outscored the Manamkos 51 to 33.

Team Manamkos’ loss in their last game of the season created a three-way tie for first place. Teams Divas, Campeones, and Manamkos finished their five games with 212, 196, and 181 total points respectfully for Rocball’s 2025 season of games.  All three teams won four out of their scheduled five games for this year’s Rocball games.

The ranking system used to determine first place was based on a team’s total points scored after five games. Team Divas was ranked as number one because they scored the highest total number of points with a 4 win and 1 loss record. Teams Campeones and the Manamkos were ranked tied for second place with a 4 win and 1 loss record of total points less than team Divas 212 points.

The semi-finals will be the best of three games played between teams Campeones and Manamkos. These semifinals games were scheduled to start on March 12, March 13, and if necessary, March 18 at the MHS Gym. If either team wins the first two games, the 2025 Rocball championship games will begin on March 18 between team Divas and the winners of the semi-finals.
