The Saipan Municipal Counsel will host a special ceremony for the founding of the Chalan Kanoa Leadership Memorial Kiosku Courtyard on March 14 at its location along Tun Segundo Road.
The 16th commemoration of its founding is dedicated to the “solemn remembrance, recognition, and honor” of the “local homegrown leaders” memorialized therein. Leaders were part of the Spanish, German, Japanese, Naval Administration, and Trust Territory eras.
The ceremony begins at 10:00 a.m.
Families of the leaders as well as the general public are invited to the ceremony according to a release.
