(Press Release) — The SHRM Northern Mariana Islands Chapter is pleased to announce that its upcoming April 2026 general membership meeting or GMM will be held at the ballroom of Marianas Beach Resort on Thursday, April 16, 2026.
This announcement follows the chapter’s initial save-the-date release and provides confirmation of the official venue for the highly anticipated gathering of HR professionals, business leaders, and community stakeholders across the CNMI.
The April GMM will feature timely discussions centered on workforce compliance and immigration-related matters impacting employers throughout the Commonwealth.
Representatives from the CNMI Department of Labor will present on employer compliance with local labor regulations, offering guidance to help organizations remain aligned with CNMI labor laws and requirements.
The program will also include a special presentation by Janet King, who will cover the CNMI Long-Term Resident or LTR status. Attendees are encouraged to submit questions in advance through the registration link to help guide the discussion and address key concerns from the business community.
Registration rates
SHRM NMI members may attend for $35, while future members may register for $40. Recognizing the importance of engaging the next generation of professionals, a student rate of $20 is available for both high school and college students.
For organizations attending as a team, SHRM NMI offers a group rate of $30 per person for groups of four or more individuals from the same organization. SHRM membership is not required to take advantage of the group rate.
SHRM NMI accepts government purchase orders or POs as a form of payment. Participants utilizing a PO may present it upon arrival at the GMM, with final payment to be processed thereafter in accordance with their organization’s payment procedures.

Participants are encouraged to register early to secure their seats. No-show fees will apply for individuals who register but do not attend.
