KoES enhances outdoor play area with community support

(PSS) — Koblerville Elementary School is set to unveil an exciting new outdoor play area for students, thanks to the generosity and support of CJ Innovation Corporation and other school community stakeholders.

The enhancement project, which is expected to be completed between late March and early April, will provide students with a more engaging and interactive play environment while fostering community involvement and environmental stewardship.

CJ Innovation has stepped forward to donate additional manpower and materials to the initiative, offering volunteer assistance in digging and preparing sites for the placement of recycled tires. The school will be repurposing the used tires into creative playground structures that will include two to three tire pyramids, tire barricades for the existing playground area, and other tire design playground sets. By contributing to the school’s playground initiative, CJ Innovation is demonstrating their commitment to giving back to the community and supporting local schools.

Beyond the physical construction, this project is designed to be a collaborative effort that strengthens the bond between the school and its families. Once the tire structures are assembled under the guidance of the school administrators, parents and family members will be invited to participate in a painting activity to complete the project. This hands-on involvement provides parents with a sense of ownership and empowerment in school improvement efforts, reinforcing the value of community-driven initiatives.

The project also serves as an educational opportunity for students, highlighting the importance of recycling and environmental responsibility. By repurposing tires into safe and fun playground equipment, students learn firsthand about sustainability and the impact of giving new life to old materials. In addition to environmental benefits, the enhanced play area will promote health and wellness by encouraging physical activity, social interaction, and outdoor play.

“We are thrilled to see our community come together for this initiative,” said KoES Principal Naomi Nishimura. “CJ Innovation’s generosity and the involvement of our parents and families are instrumental in making this project a success. We are creating a space where students can play, learn, and be physically active.”

KES extends its heartfelt gratitude to parent contributors and CJ Innovation for their dedication to enhancing the school environment. Through teamwork and shared efforts, this project is not only transforming the outdoor play space but also strengthening community connections and inspiring future generations to be active, engaged, and environmentally conscious citizens.
