RICK Sablan joined the elite ranks of the Amigos Golf Club 2025 season after shooting a net score of 134 during the ace round, earning the February Ace of the Month title at LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort on Sunday.
Consistency was the key to Sablan’s overall victory.
In the qualifier round on Feb. 9, Sablan maintained a steady swing throughout all 18 holes, ending with a gross score of 79. With a handicap of 12, his net score was 67.
In the ace round last Sunday, Sablan maintained a firm grip on his club, mirroring his initial performance by shooting a gross score of 79 for a net score of 67, bringing his total net score to 134 and earning him the February Ace of the Month title.
In second place was Sixtus Aquino, who shot a net of 67 in the qualifier and 69 in the ace round for an accumulated net score of 136.
In the optional play, the Par 3 winners were Jay Muna for hole #4, Joe Torres for hole #6, Nick Leon Guerrero for hole #11, and Eric Mandell for hole #15. A cash prize of $125 was awarded for each hole.
The March qualifier and Ace round will be held on March 9 at LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort’s East Course, and on March 16 at the West Course.
