Filipino Community of Guam donates $3,000 to UOG Typhoon Sinlaku Drive

(FCG) — The Filipino Community of Guam donated $3,000 to the University of Guam’s Super Typhoon Sinlaku relief drive during the 17th Conference on Island Sustainability community night on Wednesday, April 22, at the Hyatt Regency in Tumon. The contribution supports ongoing recovery and resilience efforts following the impact of the storm in the region.

The donation was presented by FCG President Edna Rebanal and FCG officers to UOG officials and representatives during the event.

The initiative aligns with FCG’s mission of providing community support and advancing disaster recovery efforts not only on Guam but throughout Micronesia.

As a long-standing nonprofit organization, FCG has also actively supported relief and recovery initiatives in the Philippines through fundraising and donation drives for communities affected by major typhoons and other natural disasters, working in coordination with partners and community networks to extend assistance where it is most needed.
