ON Saturday, Feb. 22, Kensington Hotel Saipan employees took a proactive step in supporting environmental sustainability by gathering at Paupau Beach for a community cleanup initiative. With 30 dedicated staff members participating, the event highlighted the hotel’s ongoing commitment to protecting the natural beauty of the island they proudly call home.
The cleanup drive, held on a bright Saturday morning, was more than just a routine activity — it was a demonstration of environmental stewardship and community spirit. Participants worked together to remove debris and preserve the pristine condition of Paupau Beach, emphasizing that even small efforts can make a big difference in safeguarding the environment for future generations.
This initiative is a continuation of the E-Land Group’s long-standing commitment to the region. Since 2020, the group, which also operates Pacific Islands Club Saipan and Coral Ocean Golf Resort, has adopted Paupau Beach Park under the Governor’s Council of Economic Advisers’ Public Private Partnership program. This collaborative effort not only enhances the maintenance and development of key tourist sites across Saipan, Rota, and Tinian but also reaffirms the group’s dedication to the CNMI’s sustainable future.
“Every small step plays a crucial role in preserving our beautiful island,” said Dennis Seo, general manager of Kensington Hotel Saipan. “Today’s cleanup stands as a tangible example of our commitment to the environment and a reminder of our responsibility to safeguard the natural wonders that make Saipan so special.”
As the CNMI continues to attract visitors with its unique blend of culture and natural beauty, initiatives like this cleanup drive play a crucial role in ensuring that the region remains a sustainable and welcoming destination. Kensington Hotel Saipan’s efforts serve as an inspiring example of how local businesses can lead the way in environmental conservation and community engagement.
Eland’s Kensington “Chill Out, Clean Up” event at Paupau Beach took place on Feb. 22 2025. It’s all about taking a small yet significant step toward a cleaner, greener island paradise.
