GOVERNOR David M. Apatang said his senior policy advisor, Claudio “Clyde” Norita, is still part of his team, debunking rumors that the administration official is no longer within the governor’s inner circle.

In an interview Wednesday last week, the governor said, “I don’t know who’s passing rumors around. But that is exactly what it is — rumor.”

He said Norita, who has been serving as his senior policy advisor without compensation since August last year, “is still my friend and still comes here,” referring to the Office of the Governor on Capital Hill.

The governor stressed that Norita is still his senior policy advisor and that “it will continue.”

In the aftermath of Super Typhoon Sinlaku, the governor said he was “running all over the place,” while Norita always came whenever he was needed.
