THE first shipment of power transmission and distribution materials arrived Wednesday afternoon at the Commonwealth Utilities Corporation’s warehouse from the Guam Power Authority, with additional materials expected to arrive in the coming weeks to support ongoing power restoration efforts on Saipan and Tinian.
The initial shipment includes:
⚡ 35 transformers
⚡ 45 reels of No. 4 triplex wire
⚡ 35 reels of No. 2 triplex wire
⚡ 25 45-foot concrete power poles
⚡ 28 40-foot concrete power poles
With the additional materials now on hand, crews can continue repairs and replacement of damaged electrical infrastructure on Saipan and Tinian.
