GOVERNOR David M. Apatang has nominated Sharon A. Manglona to the Commonwealth Election Commission.

Manglona, who currently serves as a branch (not grants as earlier reported) manager at the Department of Finance on Rota, will represent Rota on the CEC. She will succeed Esther Yatar, whose term expires on July 21, 2026.

In a letter to Senate President Karl King-Nabors, the governor said he and Lt. Gov. Dennis James Mendiola are confident that Manglona is qualified and will be an asset to the commission. He respectfully requested favorable action on her nomination.

In his appointment letter to Manglona, the governor said he and the lieutenant governor are confident she will devote her time and efforts to the best interests of the CNMI people.
