
As of 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2026, Gov. David M. Apatang, in consultation with the CNMI Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management and the National Weather Service-Guam, has declared Tropical Storm Condition I for Saipan and Tinian due to the approach of Tropical Storm Higos.
Tropical Storm Condition I means tropical storm conditions, including winds of 39 mph or greater, are expected or occurring.
Government offices remain open and normal operations continue at this time. Residents are urged to stay alert, monitor official updates, and be prepared for periods of heavy rain, gusty winds, and localized flooding.
