(CUC) — The Commonwealth Utilities Corporation has been notified by Mobil Oil Mariana Islands, Inc. of a decrease in average international fuel oil prices, resulting in a reduction to the Fuel Adjustment Charge for the month of July 2026.
Effective July 1, 2026, the FAC will decrease from $0.41280 per kilowatt-hour to $0.32505 per kWh.
The FAC is one of two components of CUC’s electric charge and is used exclusively to recover fuel and fuel-related costs. The second component, the base rate, has remained unchanged since April 2014 and supports personnel, operations, capital projects, and other non-fuel-related expenses.
