THE Falcons continue to fight through a challenging season in the 2024 SBL Masters League, securing their second win by dominating the Blue Jays, 13-2, at the Francisco “Tan Ko” Palacios Baseball Field on Monday.

The Blue Jays struck first in the top of the opening inning. Leadoff batter Shawn Matsutaro caused havoc in the infield, stealing his way to third base to create a scoring opportunity. Before the Falcons ended the top half with a double play, Matsutaro managed to slide home, giving the Blue Jays an early 1-0 lead.

However, the Blue Jays’ moment in the spotlight was short-lived, as the Falcons took control in the bottom half.

Fueled by a mix of hits and errors, the Falcons’ batting lineup batted around and racked up 10 runs before the Blue Jays could halt the damage. Trailing 10-1, the Blue Jays managed to add a run in the second inning, but the Falcons responded with two more in the bottom half, extending their double-digit lead to 12-2.

The Blue Jays tightened their defensive coverage, limiting the Falcons to just one run in the bottom of the third inning. However, the Blue Jays’ offense fell silent over the next three innings, forcing them to accept a 13-2 defeat after only five and a half innings of play.
