Kanoa secured the U14 girls division title with finesse by outplaying the Latte Football Club, 3-1.

Kanoa’s players were set on finding the back of the net as soon as they controlled the possession. Just over a minute into the opening half, Aubrey White delivered to give her team the lead, 1-0.

Latte adjusted accordingly and stood their ground throughout the majority of the ensuing exchanges. Unfortunately, fatigue soon kicked in and Latte eventually fell apart on the defensive end, which created several scoring opportunities for Kanoa led by Beatrice Gross, who scored at the 17th minute mark.

Kanoa kept the pressure tight and followed through with Gross’ second contribution just three minutes later to extend the deficit, 3-0.

Although there was still a lot of time left, Latte could squeeze in only one goal before bowing down to Kanoa, which claimed the U14 girls division title, 3-1.

MPU’s Kanoa Owens drew first blood at the 6th minute mark, but was answered by MFC’s Arnelio Pingol Jr. three minutes later for the first deadlock of the match, 1-1.

However,  MFC was left silent for the remainder of the first half while MPU recovered the lead and added  two more goals courtesy of Theo Joab and Landon Springer at the 18th and 32nd minute marks. Teammate Matthew Hwang joined the fray by contributing the fourth goal at the 39th minute mark of the second half to further stretch the distance, 4-1.

MFC still had some fight left as Rhyane Umali scored the team’s second goal in the 48th minute, but they ultimately had to settle for a 2-4 defeat.

Securing third-place was the Kanoa Football Club, which beat the Latte Football Club in a shootout, (4)1-1(2).

Scoring 22 goals this season, Latte FC’s Napu Pangelinan won the Golden Boot Award.
