
(DPW) — The Department of Public Works, Energy Division Office will be hosting its 2024 Energy Efficiency and Conservation Community Outreach Awareness Campaign and Distribution Program to distribute portable solar-powered tabletop fans on Saipan.
The Energy Division, in conjunction with its Energy Education, Efficiency, and Conservation Program efforts, will be distributing one portable solar-powered tabletop fan per residential household to assist residential consumers reduce the energy consumption and electricity costs of their homes and to educate the community about the importance of energy efficiency and conservation efforts in the CNMI.
The portable solar-powered tabletop fans will be available for distribution on a first-come, first-served basis throughout the specified time, while supplies last. The event will be a drive-thru distribution event and will be held at the date, time, and location specified below:

8 a.m. – while supplies last
To avail themselves of a portable solar-powered tabletop fan, residential household consumers must present a copy of a valid government-issued identification card and a copy of a most recent utility bill with the name on the account. If consumers are renting, please provide a copy of the lease or rental agreement along with the CUC utility bill. If the CUC account is under the landlord’s name, a copy of the landlord’s valid government-issued identification card must be provided. If the tenant is sub-metered, the sub-metered number must be provided along with the CUC utility bill/receipt of the utility bill and a copy of the account holder’s valid government-issued identification card.
If a residential homeowner with a CUC account holder’s name is unable to participate in the event, a homeowner may designate an authorized person to obtain a portable solar-powered tabletop fan on their behalf. However, an authorization letter must be issued by the homeowner designating a person authorized to obtain the portable solar-powered tabletop fan, along with a copy of a valid government-issued ID of the account holder and the designated person authorized. Businesses, rental property owners, and/or Landlords are not eligible to receive the portable solar-powered tabletop fan.
Additionally, please be sure to follow posted traffic flow signs as instructed. Operators and passengers of motor vehicles must remain in their vehicles at all times. The Division of Energy respectfully requests the cooperation and understanding of the community to strictly observe the following notice:

Division of Energy reserves the right to refuse any services to any or all persons during the event and or reserves the right to make any changes, modifications, revisions, etc., and or to cancel, any portion of the program services or event, in part or as a whole, without any prior notification.
