The United Filipino Organization members elected a new set of officers at the Sun Palace in Susupe on Sunday, Nov. 17, 2024.
ON Sunday, Nov. 17, 2024, the United Filipino Organization held its general election at the Sun Palace, Susupe, Saipan.
The election was well participated by the voting delegates from each UFO member organizations: Bayani Association, Bicol Association, Marianas Association of Filipino Engineers and Architects, Marianas Institute of Filipino CPAs and Accountants, Northern Mariana Bartenders Association, Santo Niño Prayer Group, Tau Gamma Phi and incumbent UFO executive officers. A representative from Samahang Ilokano, a new member of the UFO, was also in attendance to witness the election.
Outgoing UFO President Birhen Martinez, who presided over the election, expressed her gratitude to members and volunteers for their continued support and dedication to the organization.
According to Martinez, the election was a success, and she is positive that with the leadership of newly elected officers, the UFO will continue to remain strong in its vision and mission.
The newly elected executive officers of the United Filipino Organization are:
Carlito Marquez – President
Edmin Elayda and Joselito Espino – Vice Presidents
Mildred Pabilando – Secretary
Valentino Cruz – Treasurer
Melanie Galapon – Auditor
Segundo Lapeceros – Public Relations Officer
Marquez briefly addressed the group and humbly thanked everyone for their vote of confidence. He asked for their continued support for the UFO under his leadership.
The induction of the new member organization and the installation of the new officers and board of directors will be held on Jan. 4, 2025.
