THE Marianas is such a beautiful place that people pay good money to hop on a plane and enjoy our natural scenery.
From Songsong to Marpi and everywhere in between, the CNMI is filled with beautiful beaches, parks, and other landmarks.
Just like we did for the business community, food and beverage establishments, and other parts of the Marianas, Marianas Variety asked readers to tell the whole world what they think are the best parts of our islands.
Think of this Best of the Marianas edition as your guide to some of the most stunning parts of the CNMI. It’s almost like your own personal tour guide.
Starting on Saipan, it’s no surprise that Managaha is our local awardee for Best Tour Site or Natural Attraction. It faced some competition from the newly minted scenic Route 36 that cuts across the island’s northeast, which was voted the second spot. Closing out the category was Banzai Cliff.
Marianas Variety voters likewise named Managaha the island’s Best Snorkeling Spot.
Meanwhile, across the lagoon, Garapan’s Micro Beach is the 2024 Best Beach winner for Saipan. Micro Beach also took the Best Sunset Spot award.
For our family on Tinian, the crystal-clear waters of Taga Beach earned it the distinction of being the island’s Best Beach. It beat out Tachogna Beach and Jones Beach for that honor.
It ought to come as no surprise that for Rota, the iconic Swimming Hole was voted the island’s Best Beach. Meanwhile, Teteto Beach and East Dock came in second and third places, respectively.
Saipan Grotto, Lau Lau Beach, and Senhanon Cave on Rota are the first, second, and third place winners for the Best Dive Spot award. If you find yourself in need of a dive shop to enjoy these places, check out Aqua Connections, which came in first place, followed by Fishguyz, and Axe Murderer Tours in the Best Dive Shop category.
Back on land, the stunning views of LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort were enough to cement its place at the top of the Best Golf Course Category.
Meanwhile, for Saipan, the island’s Best Hotel and Resort winner is Pacific Island’s Club, while Tinian Diamond Hotel rules supreme on Pika Island, and Rota’s Coral Garden Hotel is the honoree for its island’s hotel category.
These spots on our islands are real jewels, and they deserve to shine. Make sure to take some time to enjoy their scenic beauty!
And for added coverage of what to eat while enjoying these spots, look elsewhere in our Best of the Marianas edition, for the restaurants, cafes, bars, and more that came out on top in the competition.
