THE Saipan Mayor’s Office and the CHCC-Environmental Health Division Program will conduct a cleanup of the Tanapag cemetery on Sept. 7, 2024 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Saipan Mayor “RB” Camacho is calling on the families who have loved ones buried in the cemetery to join in the cleanup effort.
“This cleanup is about honoring our departed loved ones and maintaining the cleanliness of our sacred spaces,” he said. He encourages community members to join the effort to beautify cemeteries. The cleanup will also allow Tanapag residents to get a head start and prepare for the upcoming All Souls Day.
Families or individuals who wish to participate in the cleanup effort must contact the Saipan Mayor’s Office at (670) 234-6208 so it can calculate the number of participants and plan accordingly. Following Tanapag Cemetery the cleanup will move on to the Chalan Kanoa Cemetery.
