(HANMI) — Docomo Pacific is teaming up with the Hotel Association of the Northern Mariana Islands to make the 22nd Annual HANMI Charity Classic Golf Tournament “better together.”
Docomo has signed on as a Deluxe Package Sponsor for the tournament slated for Saturday, August 24 at Coral Ocean Resort on Saipan.
“We’d like to thank Docomo signing on as sponsor and for their generous contribution to this year’s tournament,” said Tournament Chairman Das Krishnan. “It can be seen from their contributions through the years to both the HANMI golf tournament and other agencies and organizations that they are a team player when it comes to making our community a better place to live and work. Hole-in-one prizes for the tournament include a 2024 Nissan Sentra from Joeten Motors, a 2024 Toyota Tacoma from Atkins Kroll Saipan, $10,000 cash from Pacifica Insurance, and $5,000 cash from Island Training Solutions.
Registration is sold out. Optional play is $30 and includes Accurate Drive (Hole #9) and four chances for Nearest to the Pin (Holes #3, #7, #13, and #17). Showtime is 6 a.m., and the tournament will start at 7 a.m.
This year’s awards banquet will be held at the Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan Ataari cultural dinner show at 5:30 p.m.
The tournament follows a blackjack double Peoria format.
Krishnan also acknowledged the nearly $110,000 in in-kind donations made to the tournament to date. In addition to the hole-in-one prizes, other donors giving at least $1,000 in in-kind donations include Skechers, KSPN2, Marianas Variety, KCNM-KZMI, Power 99, Pacific Saipan, IT&E, Magic 100.3 KWAW, H-Mart, iShop, and Pacific Saipan.
