After Mass, the MCS Class of 1974 gathered at The Terrace of Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan.
MOUNT Carmel School’s Class of 1974 celebrated their 50th reunion at the Kristo Rai Church and the Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan on Aug. 17, 2024.
The reunion chairperson, Donald Barcinas, said about 30 people attended the gathering.
These included Gov. Arnold I. Palacios and first lady Wella Palacios; Margaret and Dave Palacios; Peggy and Frank Castro; James and Frances Deleon Guerrero; Ray and Sofia Dela Cruz; Don Barcinas; Virginia Guerrero; Jesusa Rekemesik; Joseph and Pilar Lizama; Debra Diaz and her children; Ana Alcazar; Regino Celis; Joe John Dela Cruz; Melvia Camacho; Annie Hayes; Marcie Tomokane; Frank Aldan; Antonio and Susan Satur.
They offered intentions during a eucharistic celebration at Kristo Rai Church and honored their classmates who have passed away since 1974.
Afterward, they gathered at the Terrace at Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan.
Margaret Castro, a member of the class, said they remain very fond of each other.
“It was fun [at MCS],” Castro said. “We were such a cohesive group from kindergarten on, and we have kept in touch. The minute we see each other it’s just like yesterday. The kinship is tight.”
