
The Public School System led by Commissioner of Education Dr. Lawrence F. Camacho, center, seated, on Monday attended the conclusion of the certification program for Chamorro Carolinian Language and Heritage Studies classroom instructors. The course was developed by PSS’ Office of Instructional Services and Human Resources Office with the University of Guam’s Global Learning & Engagement under the direction of Carlos A. Taitano. The goal is to build local capacity and workforce development. It was implemented in the CNMI by UOG consultant educator Dr. Clare Camacho. The three 45-hour courses for CCLHS classroom instructors started in June. Also in photo with Camacho and the bilingual educators are PSS Associate Commissioner for Administrative Services Eric Magofna, Senior Director for Instructional Services Jackie A. Quitugua, and Human Resources Officer Lucretia B. Deleon Guerrero.
